More Quick and Easy eBay Auction Title Tips
Wednesday, 14 January 2009
By Art Stanley

Knowing your product and market enough makes crafting an effective title that much easier. All you have to do is ramble off its greatest attribute or characteristic, in addition to briefly describing what it is. Think in terms of what would make your product more appealing or desirable to those who'd be interested.

If it's new, say so right up front, since most people would prefer new over used when both are affordable options. New or used, make it clear to your audience. Is it an antique or collectible? Perhaps it's a vintage item, or one that's truly rare. Again, these single words speak volumes about your item when used appropriately, so it makes sense to make room for them in your titles.

Has the car you plan to list been strictly lady-driven, creating the perception among some that it's been used sparingly and without being pushed to the limit? If so, state it. Perhaps that Body Shop gift set sitting on the closet shelf was never actually opened and is therefore in like-new condition.

Knowing your market makes it easier

How Much Time Do You Spend on Your eBay Item Description?
Wednesday, 14 January 2009
By Art Stanley

If you've just received a full pallet load of Olympus digital cameras, then it's probably well worth your while to create a full-fledged sales letter that covers every conceivable benefit and feature and addresses any potential questions and concerns.

With such a large quantity of the same item, it makes sense to do this because once you've created a winning listing you can simply go ahead and repeat it a number of times until you unload your entire shipment.

But for many eBay sellers, taking the time to write a sales letter doesn't make a lot of sense. If you're like most, you sell odds and ends from the basement or attic, garage sales, thrift shops, or even live auctions and estate sales. One item is often very different from the next. It might be a child's toy today and a 19th Century collectable sword tomorrow. One product means much more in potential profit than the other. Therefore, the time justifiably spent on each is not the same. Nor should it be.

Your major consideration in deciding which type of ad

Earn Money While Online with Small Home Business Marketing
Tuesday, 13 January 2009
By David Lee Buster

To earn money while online with effective small home business marketing, you need to understand how the internet works and especially business marketing lead generation.

You likely already know that to earn money while online, your small home business marketing can become too expensive. In fact, you can run out of money if you are not careful. Fortunately, this does not have to happen.

Home business network marketing lead generation is known for promising much and delivering much less. There is no doubt about it that a lot of exaggeration exists in network marketing today. Sadly, all that exaggeration creates a sense of possibilities that are not realistic, which adds to the poor picture individuals have of network marketing and work-at-home small businesses.

If working from home and network marketing is a new venture for you or even if you are experienced at it, you might actually be contributing to the hype that exists around this industry. You figure if others are doing it, it must work. But does it really? In the short run, it may work sometimes, but adding

How To Get Maximum Mileage From Your eBay Auction Title
Monday, 12 January 2009
By Art Stanley

If you've never written a listing before, facing the limitation of 55 characters for your title can be a little stifling. But it helps to remember that every advertiser faces the same challenge you do.

We're all limited to the same number, single color, and the fact that it's a text-only field. The only real options are for a bold or featured listing. These ads run at the top of any list and are therefore subjected to more eyeballs in the process. It's a way of gaining something by paying to rank higher in order. It may be worth your consideration to test these two options and determine whether they helped improve your profits.

There is one free option that can help your headline stand out in any list, and it is simply this: the correct use of capitalization.

Some advertisers use almost all lowercase text. Others prefer all UPPERCASE. Neither in my view is the best option in any environment. Lowercase test seems rather uninteresting and ordinary, like it's just one line from a full page of text. It

Your Title Is Critical For Each eBay Selling Ad
Sunday, 11 January 2009
By Art Stanley

When selling on eBay, nothing is more important to each individual listing than the title that leads it. In fact, your overall success on eBay is dependent to a large degree on your ability to create effective headlines that pull in large amounts of quality traffic. It's the title that's the key to capturing the attention and interest of your target market.

Your title is your initial point of contact. It's the first thing any shopper on eBay sees with respect to your individual auction.

If a prospective buyer conducts a keyword search as approximately 70% of eBayers do your keyword specific listing may be one of hundreds, or even thousands of listings that are shown. So your title needs to have the associated word or phrase to show up on a search for that term. But it also needs to be compelling enough to win clicks and get your listing opened by more interested prospects.

Your title is just as important to shoppers who choose to peruse listings in their favorite categories. Here your ad has to appear

Generating Extra Income In These Troubled Times
Saturday, 10 January 2009
By Mike Parsonage

The news is full of dire predictions about the state of the economy. Large corporations that seemed invincible are now collapsing into bankruptcy. Jobs are being lost at alarming rates and it is getting worse everyday. Ordinary people are suffering through loss of income and the threat of foreclosure. You could just sit there and pray that you will survive or you could take some steps to earn extra money.

Many analysts foresee a change to the business environment. The recovery from recession will be lead by small business. The mums and dads of the country setting up small enterprising businesses that better serve their community. This is an opportunity to follow the dream for an alternative lifestyle and pursue your passion. It could be to start a niche service using your specific skills, or simply a return to good old customer service and honest value. Both have their place when competing with the large franchised chains.

It takes a brave person to throw caution to the wind and give away the 9 to

However, there are many steps involved in this process. For the person who is just getting started in the homeworking world, it can be confusing and hard to know where to start. This homeworking guide will be a helpful tool for someone just looking in to starting a homeworking business.

Composing Your Best eBay Auction Ad Within 55 Characters
Friday, 09 January 2009
By Art Stanley

To begin the eBay title creation process, take those words you've isolated as being important and see how many you can fit into the 55 character window. Play around with different combinations, always striving to make maximum impact as quickly as possible. If the title is your most valuable eBay real estate, the first word of that title is the most valuable of all.

Stuff your title field with as many relevant keywords as you can, but don't overdo it. No need for commas or dashes to separate words, a single space will do. But don't omit those spaces just to squeeze in more words as you'll only be shooting yourself in the foot. If it looks like mumbo-jumbo, it will be passed over instantly.

Modify your collection of words and short forms for easy reading. Take what you have and string them together making sure your title makes sense. Many listings on eBay fail to do so. They're just a collection of words or characters that fail to woo prospects inside.

Use up as much of your allotted space as

Are You Sponsoring The Right People Into Your Network Marketing Business?
Friday, 09 January 2009
By Howie Arzt

It is absolutely crucial to the success of your Network Marketing Business to target and sponsor serious motivated people who are ready, willing and able to build their business. This allows you to build a team with layers of leadership that will no doubt lead to long-term walk away residual income.

On the other hand, when you sponsor people who are not right for this industry, it only leads to an unproductive team of people who drain your energy and slow down the growth of your business.

So... the question is, how do we find those qualified motivated people?

The first step is to learn to interview instead of sell. When you start interviewing your candidates you are showing them that you are not looking for just anyone, and they need to qualify. Instead of trying to sell them on your business, give them a series of homework assignments that get them all of the information, and at the same time will allow you to see just how serious they really are.

The people who are

Is It Appropriate and Effective To Use Autoresponders To Send Invoices?
Thursday, 08 January 2009
By Terry Leslie

Since autoresponders are such a great tool, why would we have to check in with it, evaluate it, or test out its ability to deliver our purpose? Because over time, your thoughts and your knowledge changes and making sure that your autoresponder is keeping up with your growth and change is an important part of the process. Maybe two months ago you had the knowledge to put together a pretty good autoresponder series and now you have the ability to put together a powerful and fantastic autoresponder series. Reading over your autoresponder series once a week usually open the door for a better, stronger, more powerful message than before.

Invoicing can take up a lot of time. Especially when you have to manage each individual account and type out an invoice that is overdue. While getting paid is absolutely the bottom line of any internet business, invoices that sire unpaid are a detriment as are overdue accounts. So how can you balance your time with your need to get paid in a reasonable amount of time?

Invoicing with autoresponders is not only appropriate

Having a Successful Online Business
Wednesday, 07 January 2009
By Gregg Forscher

With millions of people using the internet each day for business, fun, and information, it has become a very viable place to conduct a successful business. Many people find it much easier to start an online business because the start up costs are lower and you can reach consumers all around the world. This really allows small businesses to be able to compete with larger ones.

There are many different types of online business ventures you can decide to market. You can sell goods, services, or even information. You can create your own product to market or you can work under an affiliate program selling someone elses products. The market is very hot for information products including e-books. If you have a special skill or information about something that you can share with others, it can make a great information product.

Another good feature about selling services and information products is that you do not have to keep an inventory or worry about getting products shipped out to consumers. Most information products can be delivered electronically.

However, it is very important

An Inexpensive Internet Business - IPC Instant Cash Makes Cash and Costs Less
Wednesday, 07 January 2009
By Ken Stephens

Generating cash on the Internet does not require anything approaching the effort, cash, or business education as much of the public might think. In actuality, the vast majority of those sinking money into online money programs nowadays have meager know-how about how Internet business operates, just an eye for a bargain. A new design for an affordable web-based business, and one that is rapidly becoming popular, is called the IPC Instant Cash System. It is, for the most part, a turnkey Internet marketing program, and is constructed to permit the rookie webmaster to easily set up and start attracting money with their site within a short period of time and a small initial investment.

The turnkey system employs already set up websites that need no subject matter to be augmented to be totally functional. IPC Instant Cash exploits this turnkey approach in it's program and that is why it is suited for the trainee to get started in the Internet cash domain. An economical online business does not need to come at the cost of low profits or huge time investments. By furnishing a

Encourage Action in Your eBay Selling Ads
Tuesday, 06 January 2009
By Art Stanley

Getting action from a prospective customer is the only thing that matters.

Give as many relevant details about your items as possible. It's impossible to provide too much factual information, so stack one important detail on top of another and prioritize these in order of importance to the buyer. Every prospect will get their fill to varying degrees. One sales point will sway one buyer to step forward and bid while another will be moved by something else entirely. You never know which key detail will result in that got-to-have-it feeling which can trigger a bidding frenzy and an avalanche of profits for you. Best thing to do is include all you can.

Your mission is to get prospects to:

1) Use the Buy-It-Now to win the auction

2) Place a bid

3) Leave their email address by signing up to your list so you can let them know about your other related items and hopefully sell them something down the road.

4) Mark your auction as one to watch so they'll hopefully return and bid later.

Is Avon a Gold Mine in These Tough Times?
Tuesday, 06 January 2009
By seo702pr

2008 was not a total loss for everyone all around the board. Avon reps from coast to coast have reported that through all the financial illness our economy has battled though, sales for their small business have been in the black. For those of you that don't know, that is a good thing.

When the once powerful U.S. economy officially went into ressicion, many lost there stable employment in erie droves leaving them desperatly seeking other means of employment. While some found their way to the compnany in that depressing year, loyal sales reps never saw a real change in their earnings.

"It's really not that hard." says Steve Woolbright of Northwest Las Vegas. " My wife does the hard stuff. I just hit the pavement and hand out our catalogs." Steve and Erika Woolbright have their own Avon business in Las Vegas. After Steve retired, he dedicated most of his free time to helping his wife run their home based business.

The Woolbrights reported earnings of at least $80,000 and their team repoting total sales of at least $1.2 million.

Is Attraction Marketing For You?
Sunday, 04 January 2009
By Jennifer Patton

Try to talk about attraction marketing to the average Joe and he will look at you like you have a hole in the side of your head.

But talk about attraction marketing to a new age network marketer and you could likely chat all night.

Attraction marketing is not for everyone- how do you decide if it is for you?

It all starts with knowing what attraction marketing is especially in relation to network marketing. Pretty simple- it is about attracting people to you instead of you going after them.

In the past network marketing dictated that you were the one making the first contact with prospective clients.

First came the three foot rule and making a list. Then more and more people became members of the NFL or no friends left club.

So.... out came the generated leads.

Now you were guaranteed to find people for your home business as all of the leads that you purchased were interested in a business. And, once again, as the lead generation market became

Sell Call Options And Make Money At Home
Saturday, 03 January 2009
By Chris310

Make Money At Home Selling Call Options

This article will explain the nuts and bolts of selling call options. This is a method that investors employ when they believe that the price of the underlying stock will decrease below their option strike price (prior to the expiration date). You can either utilize this method if you own the underlying stock (covered) or dont own the underlying stock (uncovered or naked). The latter strategy of selling naked calls is similar to renting something you dont own; the appeal of making immediate money without investing capital (although risky) is the strength of this option strategy.

If you plan on selling calls, you will need to fund a brokerage account with a minimum of $2,000 and agree to the terms of a margin account. A margin account is a necessary evil if you want to sell calls as there are strict federal and brokerage firm regulations regarding the minimum balance that must be maintained in ones account in order to execute this strategy. Typically, the margin requirement (account balance) is 20% (in cash or stock value) of

A Home Based Business Opportunity Seeker, Why Are You One?
Friday, 02 January 2009
By Kurt Henninger

Particularly with today's economy, people more and more are becoming a home based business opportunity seeker. Many do this for hundreds of different reasons, but in general, there are three trends among them that make them seek this kind of profession.

Often, people intialy become a home based business opportunity seeker, because they are unsatisfied with their work life and are looking for a change. They have become sick of the drudgery of a 40 hour, or upwards of 60 to 70 hour work week and are looking for a change of work pace. Many seek the flexibility of scheduling your own hours and becoming their own boss.

Many turn to a home based business opportunity not to reduce the number of hours they work, but for the opportunity to work for themselves. They look to satisfy their entrepreneurial spirit and generate a living from their own personal work.

An additional lure to many home based business opportunity seekers is the idea of earning extra income. There is a little known fact that most people who

Why Most People Fail In Their Network Marketing Business
Friday, 02 January 2009
By Howie Arzt

Network Marketing is an amazing industry which levels the playing field and allows anyone to achieve success, regardless of his or her background, experience or current financial situation. However, success is not easy. It takes hard work, sacrifices, commitment, dedication, belief and long-term consistent and persistent action.

Unfortunately, only a small percentage of people who start a Network Marketing business succeed. In my 10+ years in this industry I have seen many people come and go. Here are the main reasons why they have been unsuccessful:

No Clear Goals
You have to know what you are looking for. Without clear goals it is just like getting into your car and driving without a destination. How will you ever get to where you are going if you don't know where you are going in the first place?

Don't Take Their Business Seriously
A Network Marketing business must be built like any other business in any other industry. Many people have the mindset that just because they are not investing hundreds of thousands of

Qualities of Short But Effective eBay Listings
Wednesday, 31 December 2008
By Art Stanley

Here are the most important ways to make short eBay listings very effective.

1) Capture Attention. Effective advertising captures the attention of qualified buyers. Every ad in any medium has to first capture the attention of interested and qualified prospects. To get attention means interrupting your prospects searches in order to direct them to your specific item listing.

eBay is the worlds largest inventory of products and that inventory changes on a daily basis. Buyers just don't know what sellers will be serving up next and so they tend to check in on a regular basis so they don't miss out on that one special item they'd just love to have.

So off those eager buyers go to eBay to see what might be available. Most will use the Search function while others will wade through a bunch of listing titles in their favorite category. Regardless of the search method used, buyers are served up a long list of titles. Some are accompanied by Gallery Images, while others are not.

But that's all any seller has to capture

Spam Filters, Autoresponder Messages, And Your Way In
Wednesday, 31 December 2008
By Terry Leslie

You can create an autoresponder series for any potential product or ordering issue that your customers might run into. Whether you need to describe how to install, set up, or use a product or how to go about the process of returning an item, all of the information that you need to deliver to your customers can be had at the click of a mouse. Your customer just simply needs to let the computer know what information he or she requires by selecting the appropriate topic. It really can be that simple. You can take it one step farther by determining the likely issues many customers have and send out an autoresponder message detailing how the customer can get the help they need with just one mouse click.

Spam filters are the result of too many people finding that companies don't listen to their request for privacy. Selling email addresses, phone numbers, and personal information has led to a revolution in the marketing industry. Unfortunately, even some of your opt-in mailing list recipients are going to find your email in their spam box if

RSS Feeds Delivers A New Wave Of Entertainment Without Leaving Your Desk
Monday, 29 December 2008
By Terry Leslie

The development of RSS feeds, which stands for really simple syndication, is a branch of basic XML file formatting that enables users to receive information on an instantaneous basis. For those who want to know about the chronic updating of any website, an RSS feed is the way to go. The feed is able to detect any minor (or significant) change on any given website and bring that updated information directly to the user. Web syndication brought the use of the RSS feed up to speed and brought it into the hands of the average user.

The RSS feed requires assistance in converting code into text, which can be done through an aggregator, commonly called a feed reader. This is a simple download available for no charge from a vast array of websites. These downloads require nothing more than the speed and OS necessary to support the feed and the reader.

What is the value of an RSS feed? Websites that are often updated or that carry a high number of subscribers can alert their entire database of changes or news without having

Visual Details Build Confidence When Selling on eBay
Monday, 29 December 2008
By Art Stanley

Clear, detailed, even dramatic photographs can seriously increase the perceived value of your items. They help your prospective buyers gain a better understanding of what it is that you're actually selling and they drive prices upward. Most importantly, a quality photo delivers a realistic expectation, so buyers can be comfortable with what they're bidding on before actually placing a bid.

Since most people are visual, they're drawn towards visual images. That's what makes a Gallery Image (that small thumbnail snapshot of your product that is displayed next to the Title) so important.

Images that are interesting or dramatic for one reason or another and used as Gallery shots, tend to capture the largest audiences. Simple eye-appeal is the reason. Your listing, complete with an effective image next to the title, blows others away that were listed without the up-front visual aid of a clear picture.

Gallery photographs work in tandem with your title to grab eyeballs and capture interest. A strong title may do the job on its own. But it is usually more effective when combined with a clear

Network Marketing Is A Great Way To Grow A Direct Sales Business
Saturday, 27 December 2008
By Chris Simpson

Direct sales offers great work at home opportunities that allow flexibility. Many people love meeting new people and booking home parties to present their goods but what happens when the bookings dry up? How much begging and pleading can you do for that one party without sounding desperate?

Learning some tips about network marketing can actually help you attract more people to book parties or order merchandise. If you get really good at it and really sell your business opportunity you will also have good luck growing your downline, or team members. Network marketing is not difficult but those with outgoing personalities will have more success.

Network marketing is simply talking, or networking, with other people in your target market and encouraging them to either buy products or become a part of the company. The great thing about creating a downline is the ability for each salesperson to build their own individual sales down line. You can be reaching hundreds of people a day in no time flat though all these different connections and earning money on each purchase.

MLM Success: Why Knowing Your "Why" Is So Important
Saturday, 27 December 2008
By Scott Miller

The biggest key to success in MLM is your mindset. If you believe you're going to be successful and you have a positive attitude there's nothing you can't do.

If you don't know "why" you are in MLM stop! Don't do anything else, don't make another call, don't send another email. Because if you don't know your "why" I can almost guarantee you that you're not going to be successful in your business.

That's a pretty bold statement, but it's true. You will never win if you don't know what you're fighting for.

What do I mean when I say your "why"? Why are you doing the business? Why do you want to make money from home? Why do you want the amazing lifestyle that a successful MLM business offers you? Why?

When we ask people why they are interested in starting an MLM business most people will say "money". Your why is never money. You might think you are motivated by money but the truth is nobody really is. What you are motivated by is what the

Basic eBay Selling Ideas
Friday, 26 December 2008
By Art Stanley

One of the most famous names in advertising history is Claude Hopkins. It was he who labeled direct-response advertising as Salesmanship in print. That's certainly true about magazine ads, newspaper ads, direct mail sales letters and any kind of marketing material that attempts to influence and persuade with words. Though we are living in the golden age of technology where virtually all we could ever want is only a click or two away, Hopkins label is just as applicable today, online and on eBay. It's salesmanship in pixels. In other words, we sell on eBay with words read on a monitor, rather than in print.

The key concept to remember is this: as a seller, you're in the business of making sales and the best way to make more sales and make more money is to use proven techniques of salesmanship. In fact, most of what Hopkins and many other great advertising geniuses, past and present discovered can be applied to your eBay listings with tremendous effectiveness.

Let's take a look at some of these selling ideas and how you might

Learn From Your eBay Competitors
Friday, 26 December 2008
By Art Stanley

Few sellers realize that not only is eBay an excellent source of sales, it's also a valuable resource for conducting research. You get to see firsthand what sells and what doesn't. You can also easily expose the various strategies applied and how they may have had an impact on the individual results of an auction.

Punch in various keywords that apply to your product and category and peruse the various items listed. Take note of any sellers who offer the same items you do, as well as those who feature multiple items in your niche category. These are the guys you want to pay particular attention to. Why? Because chances are, they've already reached a level of success. Its also a good idea to do an Advanced Search and see how their listings have performed recently.

Notice the categories used by other sellers to market their items. One category might appear obvious to you, yet another may prove more profitable. Deciding which categories to list in begins with an analysis of where your competition advertises.

Build a list of specific
