The Peoria Civic Center is located in the heart of downtown Peoria between Jefferson Street (Arena, Box Office), Kumpf Blvd. (Marquee Parking Lot entrance & Exhibit Hall), Monroe Street (Fulton Parking Lot entrance & Theater), and Fulton Street (Fulton Parking Lot entrance & City Hall).

The PCC is a city-owned building that is privately managed by SMG, a Philadelphia-based private management company and the world leader in the management of public assembly facilities including stadiums, arenas, theaters and exhibition/convention centers.

This Peoria Civic Center hosts over 375 events per year, attracting over 750,000 visitors annually , and has hosted many international concerts including Elton John, the Eagles, Itzhak Perlman, James Taylor, Aerosmith, Cher, Green Day, Metallica, and countless others. In 2007, the Peoria Civic Center completed a $55 million expansion and upgrade and is the largest convention facility in Illinois outside Chicago, featuring 110,000 sq. ft. of exhibit space and total meeting space of 45,000 sq. ft.

The arena is the home of the Bradley University men's basketball team, the Peoria Rivermen hockey team, and the Peoria Pirates AF2 arena football. The theater is the home of the Peoria Symphony Orchestra, Peoria Ballet, and Peoria Area Civic Chorale.
